Christmas Holidays

In this holidays I did lots of things.First,I went to a camp.It is held by my church.Although I can joy the camp,I didn't enjoy it! Don't ask me why. After that,I caught the cold again. Oh! My God! I had the headache too.From now on, I do my homework in every moment. I don't like holidays because I can not play with my friends and just stay at home do a lots of homeworks!

In 25 of December,I went to a camp in SaiKong.There was a lot of things to play.And I played football,basketball,rode bicycle and toxophily.My favourite activity was playing football.Although we lose the game but I was very happy also.

Ocean Park~

Last Friday,I went to Ocean Park with my family.My mother and sister were very excited about it because they have not gone there for few years.We arrived at ten o'clock.First,We travelled the cable car to the headland.We watched the ocean theatre.It was so interesting.We also played flying swing,trampoline,ferris wheel,etc.I really enjoyed them but I was very tried.
I hope all classmates have a wonderful holiday.

On Saturday

On Saturday, I went to a camp. Although I felt excited, there have so many insects. First, went hiking with my teammate before I went camping. It was really hard for me, I felt very scared and tried, and my legs were so painful because I walked five hours in this hiking! So, when I walked back to my camping place, I’m very happy. Next, we risen the tent, then put the things good. After that, cooked our dinner. Our rice was good but our soup was so thin! It only has some vegetable taste! At night, we played the faction show and drank sugar water. Then, we slept in the camp.
The next day, we wake up early because we should make our breakfast. We only made a bowl of macaroni and a bowl of chocolate. After finished it, we played games.
Time pass so fast is correct. Turn an eye, we should eat our lunch. But, we only ate the same food of breakfast. Finally, we lay up tent, then went by car to go home.

My Christmas Holiday

Hi,this holiday was so busy!I need to do all my homework and then prepare for my exam.However I had a BBQ in 25/12.My friend went with me.we ate so many food and I felt full!
I'm so disappointed about I couldn't have a tour.Many classmates went to different country to have their Christmas holiday,if I went to tour I will not finish my homework punctuality!

In this holiday , I will go my morther's hometown , I was really like this place .

Last Friday, I visited my primary school teachers with my old classmate after school. I bought them some chocolates and my old classmate made the school logo by himself!
We met a lot of primary school teachers. We chatted with them for an hour and they asked us many questions about the new secondary school school life. They also had a look for some of my textbooks.
After we chatted with each other, we found that one of my primary school teacher has taught in STMC as a 'trainee teacher' many years ago. He asked me is Mr. Law still teaches in STMC.
For this Wednesday, we have a 'F. 1 Athletics Day', I thought all of our classmates fell with fun in it. Although we were not the winner this time, we were the second. I thought that all of us were as happy as we got the champion in the Choral Speaking and enjoyed it very much!

The first Christmas I joined in STMC

Yesterday was our Christmas party.It was the first Christmas party I joined in STMC.
First,Mr. Law had prepared a game for us.It is interesting!Next,we ate the food that we had prepared .It is delicious.After we finished the food,we went to hall for the Christmas service.Finally,we went to playground for the Christmas activity- the techers prepared for whole form 1.It is so excited that we won the first runner-up!I felt so joyful with it.
Today is Christmas ,I hope 1E classmates have a fun day!Merry Christmas! =)

Our Christmas party

Our class held a Christmas party yesterday!!I felt happy for this activity.All classmate were very happy yesterday.Frist,we was playing game.It made me so expected!!Although we only played the finger-guessing game—gun,man and tiger,I enjoyed this game.But our group was lose!It was so frustrating!!

Next,we began our party formal.There were chicken wings,vegetables,puddings,cakes......My favourite food was pudding,I thought it was delicious.At the party,we had a lucky lottery.Yesh!!I was lucky yesterday because I won a lottery!!I was very excited!

The day before the Christmas Party

Yesterday was the day before the Christmas Party.Therefore we had a lot of homework.And also we needed to have the exam after the holiday!!!We had lots of book reports to do too.We had IS book report,LS(通識) book report,Chinese book report and English book report!!!!Each of them needs a lot of time to do.So,I think 1E student should finish them as quickly as we can!!!^^

Our great Christmas Party!

Everyone was very enjoy the party and the games.Although I only participated one of the games,I really enjoy and felt excited.However,the party started too early.This was the only thing I think is not good enough.
I suggested we may bring our home-made food to school or buy from the supermarket.Such as sushi,fish balls,jelly,chicken wings ,etc.Everyone should prepare a gift not over $30 for the draw.Thus,everyone can have a Christmas present.But it was too late to say this.

Dear IE,

Your performance today was really impressive. I hope that you’ll keep on improving your speaking skills especially on poetry recital. Thank you very much for all your good effort. I know the training was hard; especially when you needed to keep standing for an hour, repeating line by line, stanza by stanza. I totally understand your feelings.

I was really happy to see that everybody was trying to exert him/herself to the full.

One thing interesting about life is that, it is filled with quite a lot of choices. We never know every time we choose or are chosen to do one thing, what the choice is going to lead us to. The boys who did the poem “The Road Not Taken” for solo verse this year would definitely see what I mean. Of course, I do hope that this choral speaking experience has aroused more of your interest in learning English and encouraged you to speak the language with more confidence.

It was actually my P.3 music teacher who told me that my singing was lovely, then I started to sing more. My P.5 teacher was the first teacher who gave me a prize for getting 100 marks for consecutively three times. I then started to work much harder in English. Sometimes we need people to tell us what we are good at; we need them to boost our confidence.

As your first teacher of your secondary school life, I just want to let you know that you have great potential to speak better English. See how beautifully you read those lines in the poem? Remember to apply the skills to other English reading. Next time when you see words like pound, sound, found, round ………… etc. I expect that you will do better than the others. I sincerely hope that everyone sees the beauty of reading a poem and working cooperatively with one another.

I really don’t care if we can win. The only thing I want to see is: Your enthusiasm and enjoyment of taking part in this competition. Remember we are a team. I will definitely be proud of you all if you’re able to perform well, showing everything you’ve learnt to your audience next Tuesday & Wednesday.

Time flies, the choral speaking is going to be over. I’ve started to miss the poem and all of you being the owls, the pussycats and the piggy!!!

Dear 1E, I love you all, the first batch of students I teach in STMC, which I will never forget.

Funny excuses for being late for school & skipping homework

We are looking for the most funny excuses for being late for school and skipping homework. Please leave your comments on these issues.

Should teachers wake up students that sleep in class?

After listening to your teacher/professor for 20 minutes or so, your vision begins to blur. Then, your eyelids feel droopy and heavy, followed by your neck loses its ability to hold up your head. Before you realize it, you’re already asleep.The question is: Should teachers wake up students that sleep in class?

As a teacher, on one side of the issue I would say, wake them up since they’re bad examples to everybody else. Teachers have the responsibility to get their students learn properly in school. Sleeping in class is surely not learning.On the other hand, I think the students should know responsibility well enough to keep themselves awake in class. It should not fall on the teacher to keep them up. No one is going to wake them up in the future when they are at work in an office; they will just get fired. By the way, if they were so tired that they can’t stay awake, learning probably won’t occur anyway. While high school students are urging to make his/her own decisions, they should learn to bear the consequences at the same time.

As a parent, I strongly believe that teachers should wake up their students. A teacher shouldn’t purposely let a student miss information as the punishment or as a way of teaching a lesson. Waking up the sleeping students, getting them make a formal apology and then engaging them in more work to keep them awake are part of moral education that a school should offer.

To be frank, it’s discouraging to see students sleeping in my class; it’s kind of total disrespect.
